Dr. Anna Cassini, a young pathologist in the morgue of a well-known teaching hospital in Michigan finds herself performing three autopsies at separate times. But they are somehow connected. At her boss's daughter's wedding reception, everything changes forever, and Dr. Cassini is left trying to put the pieces of the puzzle together. Once again, her life is in danger. All this is happening while she continues to ride the rollercoaster of her ever-changing relationship with Dr. Michael Khuranjhani, an orthopedic surgeon.
